Our goal is to provide health practitioners with an understanding of the central role of nutrition in health and healing. To provide a scientific basis for the integration of nutrition and medicine in order to practice preventive and therapeutic nutritional medicine.

Continuing Medical Education Credit
Medicine: The University of Arizona College of Medicine at the Arizona Health Sciences Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The University of Arizona College of Medicine at the Arizona Health Sciences Center designates this educational activity for a maximum of 17.50 AMA PRA category 1 credit(s)™ (15.5 conference and 2.0 Public Forum). Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Chiropractic: The State Boards of Chiropractic for Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington and Washington DC Chiropractic Physicians (DC) accept AMA PRA category 1 credit(s)™ from organizations accredited by the ACCME. This activity has been approved for a for a maximum of 17.50 AMA PRA category 1 credit(s)™ (15.5 conference and 2.0 Public Forum).
The American Naturopathic Certification Board has approved this activity for a maximum of 17.50 CEUs.
AAPA: : The American Academy of Physician Assistants accepts category 1 credit from AOACCME. Prescribed credit from AAFP, and AMA PRA category 1™ credit(s) for the PRA from organizations accredited by ACCME. This activity has been approved for a maximum of 17.50 AMA PRA category 1™ credit(s) (15.5 conference and 2.0 Public Forum).
AAFP: This activity has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 17.75 Prescribed credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians.
AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported as Prescribed credit, not as Category 1.
AOA: CME activities approved for AAFP credit are recognized by the AOA as equivalent to AOA Category 2 credit. Application for CME credit has been filed with the American Academy of Family Physicians. Determination of credit is pending.
ACNP: The American College of Nurse Practitioners (ANCP) accepts AMA PRA category 1™ credit(s). This activity has been approved for a maximum of 17.50 AMA PRA category 1™ credit(s) (15.5 conference and 2.0 Public Forum).
ADA: This activity has been approved by the Commission on Dietetic Registration for 17.5 CPEUs in Wellness and Public Health and Medical Nutrition Therapy.
AzNA: This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the Arizona Nurses’ Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation for 17.75 CEUs. (ID# 33-10)

Student Scholarships
A limited number of partial registration scholarships will be awarded to health care profession students, who will be allowed to register for the conference for a fee of $325. Interested students should submit proof of student status and an essay of no more than 250 words, explaining how they would benefit from attending the conference, by March 1, 2010, to: Darlene Kerr, Administrative Associate, Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine, PO Box 245153, Tucson, AZ 85724. Please include an email address with all applications. (Applicants who do not receive a scholarship will still be allowed to register at the early bird rate after March 1.)
